‘Excellent book…thoroughly enjoying the read’

About the Book
It was May 1973, when Adelaide businessman Malcolm Kinnaird mobilised a group of sailing associates to form the Cruising Yacht Club of SA. The genesis of the club launched the formation of the entire North Haven area, transforming it from a coastal wasteland of marshes and sandhills, to a celebrated marina and suburban development.
The book tells the history of the North Haven area, as well as the evolution of the club from a group of friends meeting in Malcolm’s lounge room, to an association of 1,200 yachties, fishers and powerboat owners.
In racing circles the club punches above its weight, with 2009 winner of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race–Andrew Saies’s Two True–and 2010 winner–Geoff Boettcher’s Secret Men’s Business 3.5–both being members of the CYCSA.
